Our Story
Our name is a tribute to family and legacy. “Kateland” honors the vision and values of Annie Kate, grandmother of our Founder and Principal, Monica Triplett Seals. A woman of strength and integrity, Annie Kate was a strategic thinker long before the term was common — managing resources with wisdom and always keeping an eye on the future. That same forward-thinking spirit is at the heart of everything we do.

Annie Kate was by most accounts, a simple woman without the benefit of advanced education. She was incredibly forward-thinking in her approach to life and her beloved family.
For example, while Monica’s grandfather was serving overseas in WWII, Annie Kate carefully managed all his military paychecks to raise the family while still saving every spare penny she could. Ever the visionary, kept her eye on the prize – to create a family legacy, eventually saving enough to purchase near a hundred acres of prime land in Mississippi.
Annie Kate remains one of the daily inspirations in Kateland Consulting Group's quest to provide the highest level of professional ethics and integrity. She created a family legacy of core values while keeping a steadfast focus on the future. Those core values: integrity, strength, passion, do what’s right and be the best; be responsible and cover your bases (due diligence) are the same values in which KCG embraces today.
